A seasoned, self-motivated leader with a proven track record, Jim Lippie has a unique perspective on the channel. As the former President of IndependenceIT (iIT), one of the fastest growing cloud desktop companies in the World, Jim Lippie was responsible for helping the managed services (MSP) community identify opportunities to grow recurring revenue and add value to end-users. Lippie joined iIT and built a foundation for success, growing the partner base over 250% and increasing revenue nearly 300% over 18 months. Over the years, Lippie has developed his "Channel Eclipse" philosophy and has become a strong and outspoken advocate for the channel. His passion to help sustain the channel is what led Lippie to form Clarity Channel Advisors. He is now dedicating his experience to helping all of the MSPs in the channel ecosystem with the Clarity Intelligence Platform.
Formerly, Lippie was the President and CEO of Thrive Networks, a Staples Company. He was responsible for guiding the company’s overall business operations and strategy with a vision of becoming the premier provider of outsourced IT support for emerging and mid-market companies. In 2006, Lippie spearheaded the company’s successful acquisition by Staples. Under his leadership, Thrive tripled its revenue and doubled its employee base over a six year period. During his tenure, Thrive was consistently ranked as one of the most progressive managed service providers in the world according to MSPMentor.
Lippie has also been named as one of the world's most influential people in the managed services industry three times (MSP Mentor) and was also named to the top 50 Channel Influencers list in 2015 (VAR Guy). He has been quoted in hundreds of publications over the last several years and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences.
With over 35 years experience in technology, Mr. Bubeck is an active entrepreneur in the industry. After founding Columbia Micro Systems in 1981, he then joined Apple Computer and helped launch the original Macintosh® computer in 1984. While at Apple, Mr. Bubeck’s various roles included management of East Coast Systems engineering as well as helping direct and manage enterprise project and technical support initiatives. Immediately following his career at Apple, he launched Ease Technologies along with several former Apple employees in the summer of 1993. Ease has since grown to be recognized as an important technology innovator in the Mid-Atlantic region for the past two decades.
Mr. Bubeck also founded and served as CEO of two former Ease subsidiaries Ease Financial Systems, LLC and StarLaw, LLC, which developed and marketed enterprise software systems. Both companies were acquired by Reuters and Aderant Software respectively. He currently serves as Chairman of the Howard County Tech Council Advisory Board where he also facilitates a Leadership Roundtable group.
With over 20 years experience in the IT industry, Mr. Shirdon has been an agent of change and thought leader for Ease Technologies. After joining Ease in a technical delivery role in 1999, Mr. Shirdon quickly began to evolve Ease’s IT staffing and project-based business. He developed a structured process around project execution, routine maintenance, and proactive maintenance using a fixed monthly pricing model. Mr. Shirdon streamlined the business model needed to operate efficiently and effectively, putting Ease Technologies on the path to becoming a pioneer in the Managed Services Provider (MSP) space.
For the past decade, Mr. Shirdon’s focus has been on growing the business and refining the organization’s go-to-market strategy, which has resulted in Ease Technologies becoming one of the top MSP’s in the nation. He now oversees the service delivery, sales and operational aspects of the business. Mr. Shirdon’s expertise and energetic attitude makes him a key contributor for Clarity Intelligence Platform.
